What exactly is the cadastre?

Cadastre is a unitary and compulsory system of registration and systematic inventory of real estate throughout the country, in terms of quantity, quality and law, regardless of their ownership by which one makes the identification, registration and representation in the registry books and cadastral maps and plans.

The cadastre is:

• Objective for expressing the reality on the ground;
• Consistent for running as on exclusive instructions and normatives and uses a unique language for both user and beneficiary;
• Dynamic, expressing natural reality changing, requiring the need for ongoing maintenance;
• General for meeting the basic requirements for all sectors of national economy;
• Compulsory throughout the country for real estate owners and institutions that manage real estate.
